Welcome!

Blue Lake Township is 36 square miles and has 17 named lakes and several other ponds and streams. The Township is 70% owned by the State of Michigan and has a residential population of 387 (2010 census) but many more on weekends when our vacation home owners are here. The area is a wonderful place for recreation as the lakes provide opportunities for boating, swimming and fishing and there are many trails through the area woods for hiking, ORV’s, cross county skiing, and Snowmobile’s. Our roads are mostly paved and because of the light traffic are used by walkers and bikers.

Please feel free to stop by the Township Hall; we would like to meet you. You are also welcome to attend the Board meetings held on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm.  Several of the latest Newsletters are available on the left.  A secure drop box is available at the Township Hall (between the two doors) to leave any documents or correspondence when the Hall is not open.
